Abhishek Chaturvedi obtained his M.Sc. (medical) in Biochemistry from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, Manipal. He is currently working as a faculty member at Melaka Manipal Medical College, Manipal and teaches Biochemistry to medical, dental, premedical and allied health sciences students. His research interests include studies in oxidative stress and natural food antioxidants, alcohol deaddiction therapy, traditional medicine, protein expression in hepatocellular carcinomas.
   
Amit Kumar obtained his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from University of Calicut, Kerala. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. degree from Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar. His study includes different host proteins expressed during latent and lytic phase of Kaposi sarcoma associated herpes virus infection.
   

Apabrita Ayan Das obtained his M.Sc. degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Currently he is  persuing his Ph.D. degree as a UGC-JRF under the supervision of Dr. Arun Bandyopadhyay at CSIR- Indian Institute of Chemical Biology. His research involves human platelets from patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases and signalling pathways involving platelets in the formation of atherosclerotic plaques and disease progression.
   
Dhiman Ghosh obtained his M.Sc. degree in Organic Chemistry from Jadavpur University, West Bengal. He qualified UGC-JRF and currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay under the guidance of Prof. Samir. K. Maji. He is working on 'Protein aggregation and amyloid formation by alpha-synuclein associated with Parkinson's disease'.
   

Dr. Gururao S. Desai is presently working as a Senior Scientist at Division of Veterinary Biotechnology, Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, Bareilly (U.P). He obtained B.V.Sc. degree from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore and Ph.D. degree in Virology from IVRI, Izatnagar. He did Post-Doctoral studies on highly pathogenic Avian Influenza H5N1 virus at St. Jude Children Research Hospital, Memphis, USA. During his career at HSADL, IVRI, Bhopal, he worked on epidemiology of exotic viral diseases. His areas of expertise include viral molecular epidemiology, studying virus-host interactions (especially zoonotic pathogens) and laboratory bio-safety.
   
Dr. Manoj Panchal obtained his Ph.D. degree in Endocrinology from University of Delhi. Further, he joined malaria group of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) as a Research Associate for two years. Now, he is working as Faculty at Centre for Biological Sciences in the Central University of Bihar, Patna. His area of research is protein hormones and secretary pathways.
   
Dr. Mansi Sarvaiya obtained her M.B.B.S. degree from Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Pimpri, Pune. She wants to bring global best practices into the medical profession and health care system of India. She has gained clinical experience in USA. She has also undertaken research projects, where she has collected data and then studied it to come up with inferences at a macro level. She wants to enhance her knowledge and research skills, simultaneously dedicating her endeavors to attain a position of a cardiologist in the near future.
   
Dr. Nabonita Sengupta obtained her Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. During her doctoral studies, she used 2DE-MS based technologies to elucidate the proteome of gas gangrene causing organism Clostridium perfringens. Currently, she is working as a Research Associate in the National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Gurgaon. She is working on proteomics-based approach to decipher the critical pathways involved in the pathogenesis of Japanese encephalitis virus.
   
Dr. Priti Saxena obtained her Ph.D. degree in Chemical Biology from the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi. During her post-doctoral work, she was awarded the Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award (IYBA) by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. She further did her research as a Scientist Fellow at Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor at South Asian University, New Delhi, India and is actively involved in dissecting the molecular intricacies that mediate host-pathogen interactions in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, with a special emphasis on identifying the functional role of cellular lipids and lipid metabolizing enzymes.
   
Dr. M. Rajyalakshmi obtained her M.Phil. degree from the Central University of Hyderabad and Ph.D. degree from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She did her post doctoral work at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She served as Principal at MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore and is currently working as Professor and Head at Department of Biotechnology, BMSCE, Bangalore. Her current area of interest is molecular biology and tissue culture of medicinal plants.
   
Dr. Pradeep Kumar obtained his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from University of Roorkee (Now Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee), and Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from VBS Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. His research work includes red cell enzyme polymorphism and MTHFR gene polymorphism in different diseases/disorders.
   
Dr. R. S. Santhosh working as a Senior Assistant Professor in School of Chemical and Biotechnology, SASTRA University, Thanjavur. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Agriculture from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar and obtained Ph.D. degree from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. His research areas are molecular analysis of pathogenic, non-pathogenic mycobacteria and marine sponge associated microbes.
   
Dr. Sangita Rastogi is working as Scientist 'E' at National Institute of Pathology (ICMR), New Delhi. Her research areas include cellular and molecular aspects of Chlamydia trachomatis immunopathogenesis.
   

Dr. Susanta Kumar Ghosh obtained his Ph.D. degree in Parasitology from Delhi University. He has 32 years of research experience. He joined as JRF at the national Institute of Malaria Research, New Delhi in 1981 and subsequently got his Ph.D. degree. Currently, he is working as Scientist 'F' at the National Institute of Malaria Research, Bangalore and also heading the centre. His area of interest is analysis of proteome of Plasmodium falciparum gametocytes.

 

 
   
Dr. Sudarshan Kumar is a Veterinary graduate from College of Veterinary Sciences, G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. He obtained his M.V.Sc. degree in Animal Biotechnology from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal and then obtained Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Biotechnology from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar. Presently, he is working as Scientist at NDRI Karnal. His area of interest is understanding of mammary gland biology and related disorders in dairy animals using proteomics approaches. He is engaged in proteomics-based approach towards discovery of biomarkers and development of diagnostics. His work involves intensive protein expression, purification and various cell-based functional assays.
   
Gajendra Jogdand obtained his M.Sc. degree in Microbiology from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He is pursuing his Ph.D. degree at Institute Of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar. His Ph.D. topic includes 'Aberrant T cells and Immune response in infectious diseases'.
   
Haritha H. Nair Obtained her M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Amrita School of Biotechnology, Kollam. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Division of Cancer Research at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram. She is funded by Senior Research Fellowship from CSIR. She is involved in mechanistic evaluation and in vivo validation of synergistic combinations of curcumin and resveratrol with chemotherapeutics for breast cancer treatment.
   
Keshav Saini obtained his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from South Asian University, New Delhi and is currently a Ph.D. student in the same University. During his M.Sc., he worked on the activation and repression of IL4 gene by studying the binding of RelA/p65 to the promoter region in the mouse and humans, respectively. He is workimg on DNA-protein interactions.
   
Mohan Raj obtained his M.Sc. degree on Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, Trichirapalli. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in University of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. He is working on purification and characterisation of proteins with special emphasis on controlling insect pests.
   
Pradeep A. S. obatined his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnoglogy from Bangalore University. He is pursuing his Ph.D. degree at National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR), Bangalore. He is supported by Senior Research Fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research, Government of India, New Delhi. His research area of interest is on proteome analysis of Plasmodium falciparum gametocytogenesis in response to stress.
   

Rakhil Akkali is pursuing his M.S. (research) in Developmental Genetics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He is currently working on the effect of caffeine on the developmental stages of Dictyostelium discoideum. He obtained his B.Tech. in Biotechnology from S.R.M. University in Chennai and qualified GATE. He is currently working on proteome profiling of Dictyostelium to analyse the phenomenon of lateral inhibition induced under the influence of caffeine.
   
Reshma S. V. obtained her M.Sc. degree in Botany from University of Mysore and pursued M.Phil. from Mangalore University. She is currently working as Associate Professor in Biotechnology at P.E.S Institute of Technology, Bangalore and has over 17 years of teaching experience. Currently for her Ph.D. degree she is working on expresion and characterization of hypothetical proteins which involves mass spectrometry analysis.
   
Vamshi Krishna Irlapati obtained his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from University of Mysore, Karnataka. He is presently pursuing Ph.D. degree at Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences, Hyderabad. He is funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR-SRF) and is working on the study of regulation of a non-receptor tyrosine kinase in oral cancers.
