Mr.
Chandru J. completed his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology
and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the Department of Genetics,
University of Madras. His work focuses on screening for mutations
that can lead to hearing loss, which is considered to be a
heterogeneous genetic disorder. |

Mr.
Jyotirmoy Das completed his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology
from Bangalore University and M.Tech. from West Bengal University
of Technology. He is currently working at Bose Institute, Kolkata
as a DST-INSPIRE Fellow and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Molecular
Evolution. |

Mr.
Kuldeep Singh Chauhan obtained his M.Sc. degree in biotechnology
from Department of Biotechnology, All India Institute of Medical
Sciences. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under the guidance
of Dr. Prafullakumar B. Tailor at the National Institute of Immunology,
New Delhi. |

Dr.
Neelam Kedia Mokashi obtained her Ph.D.
degree in Life Sciences from National Institute for Research
in Reproductive
Health, Mumbai, where she analyzed the genetic and epigenetic
mechanisms of embryo loss after paternal drug administration.
She studied the imprinting mechanisms in KCNQ1 gene as part of
her post-doctoral research at Temple University, Philadelphia,
USA. |

Dr.
Rajesh
R. P. obtained his Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/Marine
Biology from the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli.
He has worked as a post doctoral research fellow in the Molecular
Biophysics Unit at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He
is currently working in the same lab as a DST Research Scientist.
His research interests include venom peptide sequencing from
marine cone snails and wasps, additionally he works on
small molecule chemistry and their cytotoxic mechanisms towards
anticancer drug discovery. |

Ms.
Saranya M. is pursuing her Ph.D. degree at the Indian
Institute of Sciences under the guidance of Dr. Rahul Roy. Her
work involves understanding the sequence variations in dengue
virus genome. |

Dr.
Suvankar Ghorai completed his Ph.D. degree from
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in molecular virology
and protein biochemistry. He pursued his post doctoral research
at the University of Washington, Seattle under the guidance of
Dr. Jim Mullins. During his post doctoral research tenure he
worked on HIV-1 functional genomics and vaccine design. He is
currently working as a Research Scientist under the J. C. Bose
National Research Fellowship scheme at the National Centre for
Cell Science, Pune. |
