Dr.
M. G. Madanan obtained his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry
from University of Kerala then carried out Post-Doc from Philipps
University, Marburg, Germany and
presently working as a Scientist in Regional Medical Research Centre
(ICMR) Port Blair. His area of interest include study of proteases of
pathogen and their role in invasion and pathogenesis. Currently he is
working on gelatinases of Leptospira and its role in pathogenesis and
studying differentially expressed proteins during host pathogen interaction
of leptospirosis. |

Manish
Johri obtained his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from
M. S University of Baroda. He is currently doing Ph.D. in the lab
of Dr. Krishnan H. H on "Role
of PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in Hepatocellular carcinoma and subsequent
pathogenesis" at
Centre for Cellular and Molecular
Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad. His main research interests are host
pathogen interaction and molecular evolution. |

Neha
Singhal Obtained
her B.Tech degree in Biotechnology from GGSIPU, Delhi. Presently,
she is a graduate student at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular
Biology (CCMB) under Dr. Puran Singh Sijwali's supervision. Her
lab focuses on identification and characterization of various proteases
of Plasmodium, the causative agent of malaria. Her work
involves characterization of a conserved Plasmodium protein
from PfPI/DJ1 superfamily. |

Nandita T. completed
her Masters in Biotechnology and is currently pursuing Ph.D. at
Centre for
Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad in the lab of Dr. Puran Singh
S. Her current work focuses on study of pathogenesis
of Plasmodium species. She is studying the role of Ubiquitin-proteasome
system in parasites and its role
in progression of various stages of the parasite life cycle. Her work also focuses
on searching for proteasome
interacting proteins which could be potential drug or vaccine targets. |

T. obtained her M.Sc. degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
from Calicut
University.
Presently persuing her Ph.D under the guidence of Dr. Madanan M.
G. in Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), ICMR, Port Blair
and her research interest is in styding the role of
outer
membrane proteins during host pathogen interaction in leptospirosis. |

Prashant
Pandit obtained his M.Sc. degree in Microbiology from
Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He is pursuing his
Ph.D degree at Indian Institute
of Science Education & Research (IISER), Mohali in the lab
of Dr. Shravan K. Mishra. His research topic is “Role of
ubiquitin like modifiers in RNA splicing”. |

Chidambareswaren Mahadevan Obtained
his M.Sc. degree in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from
Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Presently he is a research student
in the lab of Dr. Manjula S. at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB),
Trivandrum. His area of interest are on identifying the transcriptome
and proteome
changes
associated with plant immune responses in black pepper (Piper nigrum
L) to biotic stresses such as Phytophthora and Ralstonia. |

Sunil
Parthasarathy Obtained his M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry
from University of Mysore,
Mysore. He then joined Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. S.
Dayananada at Department of Animal Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad.
He later received Commonwealth Split site Fellowship to work for a
year under the supervision of Prof. Tracy Palmer at Division of
Molecular Microbiology at University of Dundee, Scotland. He is
interested in finding the mode of anchorage, topology and the
interactome of Organophosphorous Hydrolase (OPH) from Sphingopyxis sp. known
to be involved in detoxification of organophosphate residues. |

Dr.
Surender Singh completed his Ph.D. degree from Indian
Agricultural Research Institute (IARI)
New Delhi in Microbiology and carried out post doctoral research
at the CERAR, University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia.
He is
currently
working as Scientist at Division of Microbiology, IARI, New Delhi.
His research interests include microbial production of cellulases,
agro-waste recycling and lignocellulosic bioethanol production
using enzyme cocktails. |

J. S. obtained her M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from
Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and currently pursuing her
Ph.D at
Rajiv Gandhi
Centre
for Biotechnology (RGCB), Trivandrum in lab of Dr. S. Asha Nair.
Her research interest involves the study of stem cell biology in
gynecological diseases
like endometrial cancer and endometriosis. |

M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Cochin University of Science
and Technology, Cochin, Kerala and currently pursuing her Ph.D

Trivandrum in the lab of Dr. S. Asha Nair. Her research interest
includes analysis of the functional significance of Forkhead
transcription factor, FoxM1 in cell cycle regulation. |

N. obtained her M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular
Biology from Pondicherry
University and currently working as a Senior Research Fellow in
the lab of Prof. S. Dayananda, Department of Animal Sciences,
University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. Her research work includes
bioremediation of Hexachlorocyclohexane by Sphingobiumindicum,
a proteobacterium, using the proteomics approach. |

Dr.
Kiran M. obtained his M.V.Sc. degree in Veterinary Science
and Ph.D. degree in Livestock Products Technology from Sri Venkateswara
Veterinary
University, Tirupati where he worked on improvement of spent hen
and buffalo meat quality by using different chemical and physical
methods. He has worked on assesssment of meat quality by different
biochemical methods, ultrastructural study using SEM and TEM and
proteome characterization in buffalo meat. For his Ph.D. degree
he has worked on assessment of tenderness variability in Indian
buffaloes
by gel based proteome analysis and mass spectrometry in the lab
of Dr. Naveena B. M. He has presented his research findings in
various national and international seminars.
His research interests include studies in meat proteomics, meat
safety, meat quality, meat tenderness. |

Gandhi obtained her M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from
R.S.S. University, Raipur. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D.
degree under
the supervision
of Dr. Saravana Devi, EHD, CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur, Maharastra. She
is working on Omic signature includes proteomics and transcriptomics
in in vitro model exposed to xenobiotic compounds i.e. pesticide,
metal. |

Satyam S.
M. obtained
his M.Sc. degree in Medical Pharmacology from Kasturba Medical
College, Manipal University, Manipal. Further,
he joined as Research associate in the same department for six
months. Currently, he is working as Faculty of Pharmacology in
Melaka Manipal Medical College, Manipal University, Manipal. Till
date, he has published more than thirteen original research papers
in various indexed National/International journals with impact
factor above one. He has presented 18 papers in various National/International
conferences. He has completed more than 30 pre-clinical as well
as clinical studies and currently working on about 15 research
projects. He is also pursuing his Ph.D. degree in the lab of Dr.
Bairy K. L. on neuroendocrine pharmacology. His
area of research is
analgesic
modulation of opioids
and free radical biology. |

Mehta has pursued her M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from
University of Mumbai, Mumbai. She is currently
an ICMR SRF pursuing Ph.D degree in Medical Microbiology under
the guidance of Dr. Abhay Chowdhary at the Haffkine Institute for
Training,
Research & Testing,
Mumbai. Her research is focussed on assessing differentially expressed
viral as well as host proteins that may be involved in neuronal
dysfunction in rabies infection. |

Mathew obtained
his M.Sc. degree in Medical Biochemistry from KMC, Manipal university.
He is currently a DBT-JRF under the guidance of Dr. V. K. Iyer
at the
Department of Pathology, AIIMS, Delhi. His research interests include
Cancer biology with an interest for Renal cancer pathogenesis.
His current research is focused on investigating differentially
expressed
proteins in Wilms Tumor conditions using Proteomic approach for
search of a potential biomarker associated with the malignancy. |

he joined as a Senior Technical Officer
(II) at Department of Biotechnology, CSIR-IHBT Palampur. |

Subasree R. obtained her M.B.B.S. degree
from Madurai Medical College, Madurai. Subsequently
did
her D.M. Neurology from NIMHANS, Bangalore. Currently she is
working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology,
NIMHANS, Bangalore. Her
areas of research interest include Guillain Barre syndrome, Immune
mediated Neuropathies, Neurophysiology, Cortical vein thrombosis,
Cognitive
Neurology, Neuro-opthalmology and Experimental therapeutics. |

Naveena B. M. obtained his Ph.D. degree in Livestock Products
Technology from Indian Veterinary Research
Institute (IVRI), Bareilly and Post-doc from University of Connecticut,
USA and currently works as Senior Scientist at National Research
Centre
on Meat (ICAR),
Hyderabad. He is working on "proteomics of lipid oxidation
induced oxidation of myoglobin from different species; identification
of species-specific peptide biomarkers using proteomic tools and
application of proteomics tools for understanding and improving
meat quality". His research efforts are directed towards understanding
the biochemical basis of meat quality. |
